We are seeking a qualified Pre-Suit Secretary.This role will work closely with a Case Manager on work pertaining to the pre-litigation of a case. Successful candidates will be responsible for areas including but not limited to the following.ResponsibilitiesRequest Medical Bills and RecordsSubmit requests via Shared Services for coverage verification.Send Intro Letters tasked by "New File Open Checklist"Request PIP Log, Health Insurance Lien Letters, Bill PIP Letters, PIPApplications, Request PD Estimate & Send PD LetterCall insurance companies to get claim numbers, confirm verbal limitsand follow up on disclosures.Once the Turndown is approved send via fax, email, mail, No LongerRepresenting lettersBalance Verifications from Medical Providers, Health Ins. & Work CompLiensRequest checks from accounting to pay invoices.Demands Checklist- Gathering all necessary documents for demandand merging intoPut together demand Packet PDFMail Final Pay Letters to all Med Providers/Lien HoldersMail Proceeds check (if application) and mail DCD ChecksScanning documents into case management systemChecking Docufree mailCommunication with clients when required by staff to obtain updates forthe matter.Required to save all faxes sent and received with appropriate titlesMail out Government LettersAssist case managers and attorneys with organizing, client files in LitifyComplete check requests for medical records, accident reports,driving records, andvehicle ownership and submit for processing.Perform general administrative office duties as needed.Assist with other tasks as requested by the attorney or case staffRequirementsAssociate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred)1 year of experience in the legal field is a plus!Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing of files and records, and other office proceduresMust possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervisionGreat written and communication skillsHighly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong writing and communication skills along with attention to detailExtensive computer and database expertise, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and type no less than 35 wpmThis position is a full time in office opportunity compensating at $23.00 an hour. #LI-FM1
