Our Training & Consultation Department is hiring for the role of Prevention Specialist.
The Prevention Specialist offers effective and evidence-based prevention services across Lake County through school systems and other community groups.
This position is responsible for serving youth directly and engaging with adult allies.
This provider will engage as a member of a collaborative Team, both within the organization and with community partners.
With a Trauma Informed approach, this position will be a representative for the organization and how we offer integrated services for recovery and mental health.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Provide trauma informed Prevention presentations and programming across Lake County, including groups of youth from elementary through high school ages as well as school collaterals and other community groups, in person and virtually as needed.
Provide consultation and collaboration with community partners.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of prevention field and approaches, knowledge of child and adolescent development, knowledge of mental/behavioral health in child and youth populations, Position Requirements: Bachelors in Human Services, Counseling, Social Work or related field Two plus (2+) years' experience working with youth One plus (1+) years' experience working in schools (preferred) Obtain minimum of Registered Applicant (RA) Credential within 60 days of hire and advance to
OSPSA within two years or Licensed in the State of Ohio with LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, LCDCII or
higher OCPSA, OCPS, OCPC (preferred) Must have an acceptable driving record (4 points of less), reliable transportation, and carry
automobile insurance with minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 and property
damage of $50,000
