As a Pricing Specialist, you will work with sales, the product line and the Pricing Manager for effective pricing execution including price setting, pricing maintenance, and price escalation that drives new business, market share and revenue growth.
The Pricing Team is a trusted business partner for TI's product lines for all pricing deliverables.
Our team sets pricing guidelines, monitors performance, and executes pricing strategies on behalf of our businesses.
What You Will Gain From this Role:
You will become a valued consultant to the product line and marketing teams, leading them in decisions related to pricing strategies, portfolio price management, and helping them maximize revenue An end-to-end understanding of how TI conducts business - from design in, to design win, to customer negotiations and channel pricing throughout the life cycle of a customer project A detailed, working understanding of how pricing discounts are set with our customers, how these discounts are maintained and negotiated over time, and how the sales channel can impact our results Expertise in analyzing quote and transaction activities to find areas of potential pricing improvement Mastery of analytics tools Product portfolio knowledge, through a close working relationship with product marketing teams, which prepares you to make customer pricing decisions for changing competitive environments
Job Responsibilities
Set, execute and continually refine the pricing strategy to drive growth; be the pricing authority for the business.
Set effective pricing guidelines that align with the product line's portfolio, strategies and market conditions/competitive landscape.
Respond to escalated new business quote requests.
Work closely with the business unit to maintain a thorough understanding of business trends, product and market strategies, areas of focus and growth, competition and other pricing-related data to ensure effective price settings that will grow revenue and profit.
Work closely with the regional pricing execution teams and use available data and analytics to: identify trends, form opinions, make judgments and implement adjustments that positively impact pricing results. Minimum requirements: Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering or other engineering discipline Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher Preferred qualifications: Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions Ability to take the initiative and drive for results taking high sense of ownership and able to work independently Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships Good listener and excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externally Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skill Why TI?
