PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN
WJM Professionals is recruiting a Primary Care Physician to work at the Coast Guard.
The Physician shall perform a full range of Outpatient services to a variety of patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES History, detailed examination, testing, and diagnosis; Treatment plan recommendation and review; Case consultation with referring Medical Department Representative.
Expert opinion in related medical board action.
Provide preoperative and postoperative care.
Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergent conditions as they occur in addition to regularly scheduled appointments.
Prepare and submit appropriate documentation as specified in applicable regulations (to include fitness for duty reports, progress notes, Periodic Health Assessments, etc.
); If a medical emergency occurs to a patient receiving services from the Contractor, the Contractor shall immediately notify the Medical Department for assistance and report the nature of the emergency to the Commanding Officer or his authorized representative.
Participate in the Health Services Quality Improvement Program.
Provide instruction to clinic staff on an ad hoc basis.
REQUIREMENTS
The Primary Care Physician shall possess and maintain the following: A diploma from an accredited school of medicine.
A current unrestricted active license to practice medicine from one of the 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U. S. Virgin Islands.
A current board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
A Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certification.
A "no unfavorable information on file" rating with the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB).
A current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) for the Health Care Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), or the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
A minimum of two (2) years recent clinical experience (immediately preceding the submission of this offer).
REQUIRED CREDENTIALS A current curriculum vitae including AT LEAST the following information: Degrees earned; Career History; Awards and certifications received; Professional Training/Courses attended in the past two (2) years; Professional organization affiliation and memberships; and Previous work reference(s) including the name of the organization(s), number of years services rendered, address and name of the point of contact with telephone number.
Date of birth (to be used only for the purposes of independent query of the NPDB); Social security number.
Evidence that active Primary Care medicine has been practiced during 3 of the last 5 years immediately preceding performance under this contract.
"No adverse information on file" with the National Practitioners Data Bank (NPDB).
Necessary Copies A diploma from an accredited school of medicine; A current unrestricted active license to practice medicine from one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U. S. Virgin Islands.
A list of any malpractice claims filed, pending or settled, and/or any other adverse professional actions, that involve the contractor; A current Board certification from the American Board of Family Practice; A current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) for the Health Care Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) or the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
Proof of insurability against malpractice in the amount of one million ($1,000,000) dollars per occurrence; Three letters of recommendation from previous employers; Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration/certification.
Evidence of immunity to Hepatitis "A" and "B" and evidence of freedom from chronic communicable disease(s) i.e., HIV, TB and Sexual transmitted diseases(within 30 days of start of work);
