Organization and administrative support to the gCS Vice President, Computational Biology and Translation (CBT). Responsible for a diverse and complex range of administrative duties, which are performed with keen attention to quality, detail and confidentiality. A thought partner who anticipates and executes on priorities in a high-visibility and high-impact environment. Interfaces with multiple senior leaders and stakeholders, and regularly engages with highly complex information and matters of utmost sensitivity.
Coordinate and manage complex global travel needs and logistics. Proactively plan, schedule and coordinate teleconferences and meetings between VP and other executive or senior level leaders.Proactively manage and make independent decisions regarding priorities of VP's meetings and calendar. Assess, advise, and highlight priorities and actions for the VP to focus on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.Create contracts/purchase orders, and process payment and expense reports.Address problems and develop practical, thorough, and creative solutions, at times without relying on precedent or supervisory review.Deep understanding of business, organization, goals, key stakeholders and how they relate to the current role.Exercise independent judgment and discretion when in contact with sensitive/confidential and proprietary information.Multitask, be flexible, and succeed in a fast pace, dynamic and ever-changing environment.Other duties, as assigned, to support the greater CBT Leadership Team (LT) including complex meeting scheduling with other cross functional LTs and critical stakeholders.Coordination of guest speakers for CBT LT.Assist in developing and distributing VP communications.In some cases, take on the role of Admin Lead for CBT.Who you are Ability to successfully work in a high-pressure, high-stress, high-visibility and high-impact environment.Extensive skills in completing complex global travel arrangements/itineraries and expense reports.Minimum of 7+ years of management associate or administrative support experience, including a minimum of 4+ years experience supporting a VP, or executive level leader.Demonstrated success in directly supporting senior level executive leaders (VP+).Must be highly proficient in e-mail and calendar (g-mail, g-cal, Google+, g-Docs, etc.); experience with preparing expense reports and coordinating international travel.Highly skilled in written and interpersonal communications, including persuasion and influence.Management Associate experience within Genentech or Roche is strongly preferred.Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others.Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation. Ability to foster a positive work environment.BS/BA degree required.Relocation benefits are not available for this posting.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $91,000-169,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
