Reports to: Higher Ed Practice Studio Leader
ResponsibilitiesExpand client base through pursuit targets set in collaboration with Practice Studio Leaders.Act as an ambassador for JLG in the community and elevate JLG as the firm of choice for client pursuits.Keep the big picture in mind.Ensure client goals for projects are accomplished and expectations are exceeded throughout the project.Mentor staff and provide guidance throughout the process as necessary.Throughout the project ensure that the JLG process is followed for the betterment of the project and that each phase is properly closed out.While the PA/PM is the main client contact, remain connected with client as the sponsor.Maintain JLG as firm of choice, exceed expectations, and secure a recommendation for JLG.All other duties as assigned.RequirementsBachelor or Master of Architecture from an accredited university, current architectural licensure and NCARB record, and a minimum of 10 years professional post-licensure experience.Evidence of successful project management and leadership for projects with a $30M+ construction budget to achieve project goals, budgets, and schedules.5 consecutive years of experience in a studio.Strong communication and negotiation skills with ability to gain client confidence, hold difficult conversations, and display confidence in public speaking and presentations.Highly self-motivated problem-solver, with proven team leadership to mentor, empower, and grow staff.Evidence of community stewardship with the ability to create brand awareness and build relationships to win work.Clear understanding of architectural business and construction processes to budget, plan, and deliver throughout a project.Advanced knowledge of building code, science, and JLG processes/standards.EEO StatementJLG Architects will not discriminate against or harass any employee or applicant for employment because of actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, related medical conditions and lactation), gender identity or gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, familial status, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability status, military service and protected veteran status, genetic information, membership or activity in a local human rights commission, status regarding public assistance, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws or ordinances in any aspect of employment.
