Market Data Content is the commercial owner for content acquisition, data governance and financial management, providing both Market and Reference Data. Market Data Content is a global function with teams based in Japan, Hong Kong, New York, London and Mumbai. Role & Responsibilities: Nomura are seeking a strong individual with seasoned experience in business analysis roles. The candidate must have considerable and vast product and trade lifecycle knowledge.
The role is based in our Mumbai office and the successful candidate will be responsible for providing day to day support for our business. The candidate will be responsible for:
Providing key business analysis services to key business stakeholders globally, for any cost-saving initiatives. This will include requirement gathering, project planning, analysis of data, and collating and presenting the proposals to various stakeholders, including senior management.Owning a variety of reporting requirements; including collating requirements, implementing new processes, and ensuring governance.Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing optimization efforts.Working closely with internal business stakeholders, application owners and external data providers for day-to-day processes or projects.Collaborating with global team members across regions and divisions, working effectively remotely and across time zones.The role is highly interactive with both our internal stakeholders and external data providers. The successful candidate will need to establish a baseline knowledge of our current utilization of data. To do so, the successful candidate will need to build relationships with our application owners and key stakeholders globally to be able to articulate any issues and proposals.
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required: A seasoned Business Analysis professional with sufficient knowledge of trade life cycle, markets and products gained through work experience.Experience working in an investment bank or broker/dealer environment (experience in Middle Office and/or Operations are welcome).Excellent written and oral communication skills enabling the individual to liaise effectively and share information with Nomura senior management and other key stakeholders throughout the industry.A self-motivator who is a fast learner and able to work proactively to identify opportunities for process improvement and/or realizing cost savings.Must have good analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
