We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to lead and manage our new branch office in Seattle, WA or the greater Seattle area. This role will involve recruiting and building a high-performing team of engineers, managing projects, and expanding our client base in concert with our leadership team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in water and/or wastewater engineering. The position is expected to lead to ownership opportunities within a few years, contingent upon performance.
Responsibilities: Assist in the establishment, management, and growth of our new branch officeHelp recruit, build, and manage a team of engineers to support office operations and project executionAssist with the development and implementation of strategies for recruiting new clients and expanding business opportunitiesLead project management efforts for water and wastewater engineering projects, including sewer comprehensive plans, engineering reports, and design for water/wastewater treatment, collection, distribution, water modeling, and pump stations.Prepare detailed engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimatesServe as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and problem-solvingQualifications: 4-year degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical EngineeringWashington State PE license15+ years of experience in engineering design with a focus on water and/or wastewater systemsProven experience in managing engineering projects and developing client relationshipsDemonstrated ability to lead and oversee projects, including wastewater treatment systems, pump stations, water systems and sewer collection systems, funding, permitting, and planning reports.A desire to play a key role in growing our Seattle office and contributing to the firm's long-term successWhy Wilson Engineering? Compensation: $160,000 to $200,000 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
