Job Description:Discover will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Responsible for providing financial and business analysis support in order to enhance decision making. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
Leads projects to drive automation and operational improvements aligned to the goals of Finance & Corporate Services. This entails partnering cross-functionally and providing supporting data analysis. Develops and enhances financial models, and clearly articulates the outcomes of these models. Improves accuracy of analysis and drives business insights. Refines existing processes and orchestrates regular updates. Engages well with other teams to effectively challenge inputs. Performs competitive analyses to drive strategic insights and actions.
ResponsibilitiesDrives project to completion to improve automation and data transparency.
Drives revenue generating and expense efficiency initiatives by understanding business economics and effectively leading and influencing business.
Develops financial projections to support planning and investment decisions. Provides advice and financial analyses to leadership for investment decisions, pricing changes, and the development of new products and offers. Monitors and assesses the return on financial investments. Leads an analytical approach to proactively develop insightful financial analyses.
Develops and leads financial planning activities including budgeting, short and long-term forecasting, revenue and expense driver analysis.
Conducts variance analysis and consolidation activities.
Collaborates with business partners (e.g., marketing, and operations) to develop robust financial forecasts and drive insightful analysis.
Continuously improves and streamlines standard work processes.
Creates and maintains models to understand long-term profit and loss impacts and drive business decisions.
Performs detailed competitive analyses to drive strategic insights and actions.
Minimum QualificationsAt a minimum, here's what we need from you: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration and Management, or related field.
4+ years of experience in Finance, Consulting, Investment Banking or related field.
Preferred QualificationsIf we had our say, we'd also look for: Master's Degree in Finance, Business Administration and Management, or related field.
6+ years of experience in Finance, Consulting, Investment Banking or related field.
