They analyze product specifications to determine appropriate designs and processes that support these customer requirements. What You Will Do Managing large scale design, control, and improvements to the manufacturing process Developing Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool, and fixture designs Establishing engineering design requirements tailored to manufacturing processes Supporting manufacturing areas daily with process troubleshooting, incorporation of engineering changes into the MDP Leading non-conforming material analysis with root cause and corrective action analysis as required Leading Continuous Improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using Six Sigma principles and data driven decision making Providing real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators; in-house as well as the supply base. Developing and implementing manufacturing process control and performance monitoring Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics into processes Leading corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence Leading factory wide strategic improvement projects Developing influential relationships with internal customers Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience. The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
