Details of the offer

The PositionA healthier future. It's what drives us to innovate. To continuously advance science and ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need today and for generations to come.
Creating a world where we all have more time with the people we love.
That's what makes us Roche/Genentech.
The Opportunity The Boston Roche Innovation Center (BRIC) is a data/statistical science innovation unit at the intersection of statistics and artificial intelligence/machine learning focused on developing new methods and digital applications in support of drug development decision-making. As a relatively new team, BRIC is seeking exceptional candidates that are interested in bringing expertise, enthusiasm, and an entrepreneurial spirit to help establish our culture of innovation and user-centered product development, and to drive us to success overall.
As an experienced product manager you will lead the product development lifecycle from initial concept and strategy through launch (and beyond) as we build innovative data science and information synthesis capabilities to make informed drug development decisions with ease. You will tackle tough problems with elegant solutions; comfortable hashing out big-picture product vision and strategy, prioritizing roadmaps, grooming backlogs, and driving execution against timelines and release schedules.
Responsible for the full lifecycle of product development for the Boston Roche Innovation Center (BRIC) portfolio, you will partner with BRIC leadership and product owners to shape product strategy and vision. You will create, maintain, and deliver on product roadmaps, managing releases, feature developments, and ongoing performance while maintaining agility against technical and scientific risks.
You will define and manage product requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and serve as the Agile product owner during sprint ceremonies. Collaborating with the core team, you will ensure the product vision is achieved, working with designers to balance user requirements and business needs, and with data scientists and engineers on prototypes and implementation. Seamless collaboration with other Roche teams and external parties will be key, as will managing dependencies and opportunities for value delivery.
Your role includes delivering high-quality product releases on time, continuously updating the product roadmap based on user feedback, and monitoring product effectiveness through analytics. Clear communication of product concepts to stakeholders, leading and influencing within a matrix environment, and developing a consistent product development framework are essential. You will ensure security, quality, and privacy practices are embedded in the lifecycle and foster a culture of innovation.

Who You Are You will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience; a Masters or PhD degree is preferred.
8+ years of professional experience in end-to-end product management, including:
Ownership of the product development lifecycle for one or more products from concept to delivery across multiple releases.
Development and maintenance of multi-year, multi-release product roadmap(s).
6+ years of professional experience in at least two of the following domain areas, with the ideal candidate possessing experience across all three:
Working in the healthcare industry, ideally biotechnology or similar sectors.
Building digital and/or SaaS products supporting analysis and decision making.
Delivering products focused on scientific or quantitative users.
Experience in an agile environment for leading product development.
Preferred Healthcare and digital/SaaS product management experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience with development and delivery of products involving science risk, i.e., technical uncertainty/risk beyond that which is coming from capacity constraints or implementation considerations.
Extensive experience thinking in terms of end-to-end digital/data/analytic product development, applying critical thinking and business goals to designs, product requirements, release scoping, and roadmap management.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities, equally at ease speaking with development teams or executives when articulating and advocating product concepts.
Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Boston, MA is $134,600.00 - $250,000.00 USD Annual.
