Overview:
Corporate Communications partners across the Chick-fil-A organization to execute effective, compelling communications that build culture, drive change and support business goals.
The team serves as a communications service organization for all of Chick-fil-A, Inc. and its Vertical Business Lines.
This individual will support the teams vision of creating clarity and alignment by inspiring, educating and equipping key audiences. Specifically, this individual will lead communications strategy and efforts for Distribution-related programs within Chick-fil-A, Inc.s Supply Chain department.
This includes serving as a liaison and strategic lead between the Corporate Communications & External Affairs teams and Chick-fil-As Vertical Business Lines (VBLs), including Chick-fil-A Supply and Bay Center Foods, and acting as the communications lead for Supply Chain Distribution. These areas are rapidly growing and changing, which will require this role to consult on a wide variety of topics ranging from strategy development to program implementation.
S/he will collaborate with other communications functions on integrated plans and serve as a communications subject matter expert for the Vertical Business Lines, advising functional leadership on best practices in communications, as well supporting communications to Operators and Restaurants. Additionally, this individual will lead efforts to build a content strategy model and process for Staff communications at Chick-fil-A that allows for long-term communications planning and supports timely, accurate distribution of key information and culture to Staff across multiple geographies and functions, like the VBLs.
This individual may also partner with the Director of Staff Communications to execute complex and transformative communications approaches for key leaders and initiatives in support of Staff, including evolution of a departmental communications support model. Responsibilities:
Serve as the strategic communications lead to provide business recommendations on key Vertical Business Line communications strategies and initiatives, connecting back to Chick-fil-A, Inc. strategies as appropriate Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy that effectively targets key audiences with messaging and tactics across strategic and executive communications; urgent and event-related communications; program communications Lead crisis and event-related communications, including on-call responsibility for product withdrawals/recalls and weather-related events impacting supply Lead cross-functional team that brings together Vertical Business Line and Chick-fil-A, Inc. Staff to ensure seamless integration and execution of the communications strategyLead effort to evolve internal content strategy and planning for Staff Serve as communications liaison on multiple cross-functional teams and advise and influence both laterally and with senior leadership Create and execute major deadline-driven communications initiatives, on budget and on time, using appropriate combinations of vendors, contractors, agencies and in-house services.
Continue to establish and integrate guidelines and organizational norms for communication across the function, including the development and rollout of best-in-class processes This role requires agency or corporate communications experience and the ability to work in a cross functional manner both across the company and across a variety of communications channels, such as print, video, online and events.
In addition, any internal staff communications experience is highly valued.

Relationship builder with a highly collaborative style, who has the ability to influence and build alignment at all levels and across multiple teams, departments and within subsidiary businesses Strategic communicator who is comfortable leading in ambiguity and is willing and able to evaluate, make informed recommendations to leadership and execute communication plans Ability to stay calm and lead in high-pressure, rapidly evolving situations Comfortable operating both autonomously and on matrixed teams Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills Experience leading external agency partners/consultants and managing a budget
