Principal Software Architect - Twin Cities NW Metro Medical Device - Cancer Treatment Product Development Please see the below requirements for a Principal Software Architect to join a global medical device OEM in the Twin Cities Northwest metro area. This technical leadership position will work within a cross-functional team and internal stakeholders to develop life-saving software as a medical device for cancer treatment. This is a high visibility opportunity working on a successful product line, and there's a clear vision for advancement within the organization. This individual's main responsibilities are to optimize software strategy and enhance user-centered design methodologies, architect, develop, and deploy scalable web apps, write efficient and clean code, and document to quality and regulatory standards while providing technical guidance and mentorship.
This is a hybrid position - onsite 3 days a week.
Requirements: BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other relevant degree Experience in a heavily regulated environment, preferably medical device and/or digital healthcare Technical leadership experience as a Principal or high-level Senior Engineer with excellent communication and influence in the workplace Strong web application development experience with Angular/Vue.js/React (for front-end) and AWS EKS cloud infrastructure Experience with Next.js and understanding of server-side rendering Experience/knowledge in Test Driven Development Methodologies and Unit Test Frameworks Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, RESTful APIs, HTML, CSS, DevOps, DevSecOps Experience working with software as a medical device is preferred Experience with embedded development is preferred EOE Statement: Specialist Staffing Group is an equal opportunity employer.
