The Principal Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and systems. This includes working with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, designing and implementing software solutions, and ensuring that the software is of high quality and meets the needs of the business. They are also responsible for mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design software solutionsDevelop, test, and deploy software applications and systemsEnsure that the software is of high quality and meets the needs of the businessMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidanceStay up-to-date with the latest developments in software engineeringCollaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvementsProvide technical support for software systemsParticipate in code reviews and ensure that code is maintainable, scalable, and secureCommunicate effectively with other team members, stakeholders, and clients Essential Skills and Experience: Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExpert level proficiency with React.js, Node.js, and AWSStrong understanding of software development methodologies and best practicesStrong understanding of software testing and debuggingStrong understanding of data structures and algorithmsStrong understanding of software design patternsStrong understanding of software developmentBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 15 years of experience in designing and scaling cloud infrastructureExperience in a senior or lead roleExperience with multiple programming languages and technologiesExperience mentoring and leading junior engineersExperience with Agile development methodologies is a plusExperience in a similar industry is a plus
