Who we're seeking? We are seeking a Principal Solution Architect with strong analytical skills and a passion for streamlining the customer shipping experience. You will serve as the technical advisor for our largest enterprise customers and liaison with our business development leadership team to unlock demand generation opportunities. This role requires a strategic thinker who thrives on ambiguity. A typical day will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, producing concise documents for senior leadership, and driving external customers and third-party platforms to integrate with our system. As a Principal Solution Architect, you will delve into the complexities of the customer and developer journey, designing solutions that enhance and simplify their shipping experience.
You will be accountable for delivering solutions and simplifying complex integration requirements to onboarding strategic accounts. You are an innovator at heart, who enjoys finding solutions for customer problems. In this role, you will identify projects from customer interviews and market research and develop foundational documents to facilitate solution design with the product, tech, and commercial teams. You must be adept at deep-diving into complex technical systems, hands-on with code debugging, and proficient in identifying and resolving errors. You enjoy continuous learning and staying up to speed with the latest market trends and technology to accelerate innovation. You will be recognized as a thought leader and mentor, playing a key role in shaping the strategic roadmap for our organization.

Key job responsibilitiesEstablish and maintain technical credibility throughout the sales cycle, providing comprehensive advice and support on the implementation and operation of our integration-focused products and services.Cultivate deep and broad relationships with executives and technical stakeholders within customer and internal organizations, acting as a trusted technical advisor.Identify gaps in our services and work with product stakeholders to align Amazon's technology vision with customer needs. Serve as a technical leader by defining user stories and contributing to the design of new product features for the customer by working closely with engineering and business teams.Develop and disseminate knowledge resources such as code samples, tutorials, whitepapers, and technical articles for the developer and shipping community, with a focus on promoting best practices.Analyze current processes, identify bottlenecks/pain-points, and evaluate opportunities to improve end user experiences, reduce time/costs to integrate, improve CX, and accelerate growth.Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to integrate into functional architectures, driving continuous improvement and innovation.Up to 10% travel.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS10+ years or more experience in building/designing customer-facing API based products. The right person will be highly technical and analytical thinker, possess hands-on software development/technical integration/consulting experience.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, tailored for technical and non-technical audiences, along with conflict resolution abilities involving executive stakeholders, customers, and internal teams.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. In lieu of a degree, 12+ years of related work experience in technical enterprise solutions.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSIndustry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry standards related to shipping such as API Integration, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.Demonstrated ability and willingness to operate autonomously, roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done; general manager/owner mentality.Industry Knowledge: Proven experience in integrating complex multi-technology solutions in a high-stakes, time-sensitive industry.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
