Principal Tech Program Manager, Multilingual Search QualityWe are seeking an experienced candidate with a strong program management background, with a well-rounded exposure to projects involving application of machine learning and AI. You will lead the team through a quarterly planning process, improve experimentation velocity continuously, and hold all stakeholders accountable to a high throughput. You will work with partners across the search orgs, and be responsible for milestones for various high visibility projects. You will develop and own mechanisms like flashes, launch announcements and monthly business reviews to maintain collaborations with business and country teams. As part of the role, you will play a strong role during the operational planning process of the org. As a technical leader, you will influence strategy and outcomes across various search relevance initiatives.

The Search Relevance-L0 team in the Matching relevance and Early stage ranking org owns the responsibility of improving the precision of search results in all Amazon locales worldwide (22 locales and growing!). The team is also responsible for the secondary language search in all locales worldwide (e.g., Spanish language search on amazon.com). The team owns, innovates on, and builds language models to estimate relevance of tens of thousands of products to each customer query, within a budget of few milliseconds of latency.
