We are currently seeking a Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) with substantial experience in the geotechnical industry to join a dynamic team. Position Overview: The Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) will play a critical role in geotechnical projects, particularly those involving hillside grading and complex geological conditions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in geotechnical engineering and geology, with a focus on hillside grading projects. This position requires a deep understanding of geological processes, soil mechanics, and the ability to develop and implement effective engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities: Conduct detailed geological and geotechnical investigations for various projects, with a focus on hillside grading. Analyze and interpret geological, geophysical, and geotechnical data to develop engineering solutions. Prepare comprehensive geological and geotechnical reports, including maps, cross-sections, and recommendations. Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. Provide expert geological advice and recommendations for construction, remediation, and mitigation projects. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards. Perform field inspections and assessments, including soil sampling, slope stability analysis, and site monitoring. Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion. Mentor and guide junior geologists and engineers within the team. Qualifications: Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) certification is required. Professional Geologist (PG) certification is highly preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the geotechnical industry, with significant experience in hillside grading projects. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles, soil mechanics, and geological processes. Proficiency in geotechnical software and tools for analysis and design. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present complex technical information clearly. Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
