Prn Advanced Practice Provider-Hospitalist

Summary

The Hospitalist Advances Practice Provider is responsible for providing direct patient care and coordinating collaborative patient care during assigned shifts for acutely ill patients, including those patients of high acuity and those who are critically ill. Additional administrative duties will be assigned to support the success of the Hospital Medicine Service, including performance improvement activities and participation in CQI activities.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

APRN/NP:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school for APRN/NP. Current Nebraska state license to practice medicine as an APRN/NP and Registered Nurse (RN). Active and current certification through either American Nurses Credentialling Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Current DEA licensure. Continued CME to satisfy state, licensing board, and stroke certification requirements.



PA-C:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Physician Assistant. Current Nebraska state licensure to practice medicine as a Physician Assistant. Active and current certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Current DEA Licensure. Continued CME to satisfy state, licensing board, and stroke certification requirements.



Two (2) years of APP experience in an acute care setting preferred.





OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS:

Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network.

Advanced Life Support (ACLS) is required.

Current NIHSS certification is required.
