Acme Abrasive is looking for a Process Engineer to jump in and participate in helping to grow this company. The position will require you to: Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output. Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows to identify and eliminate waste. Optimizes productivity by designing, implementing, and testing new procedures. Develop and implement metrics to monitor and improve performance of processes. Communicates findings and proposals to upper management. Provides thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changes. Lead equipment/process improvement projects utilizing sound project management techniques and see projects through to completion. Optimize production processes to deliver cost savings and improve quality. Identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities throughout the manufacturing facility. Execute and achieve process improvement objectives on schedule in a team environment to support company objectives to increase productivity, reduce scrap, reduce waste, improve quality, and enhance safety. Perform time and motion studies on existing processes, evaluate and analysis findings, and develop time standards. Develop and Implement Standardized Operating Procedures (SOP's) for new processes. To qualify you must possess: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organization and management skills. Proven work experience in process engineering Ability to persuade others to change existing practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. High level of technical expertise. Strong analytical thinker. BS Degree in Industrial, Process, or related Engineering field 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering (preferred). Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles Time and Motion Studies Experience (preferred). Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and workflows.
