Job Summary Process Engineer will assist the Project Manager/s and VP Capital Projects in defining, overseeing and implementing projects at Vonore, Engineering offices and other sites as required. The Engineer will interface with EPCs, suppliers, consultants as required by projects. Essential Job Duties Review engineering deliverables completed by engineers and designers on FEED and detailed design phase of projects. Provide support to other company functions during the manufacturing/development process to bring projects to completion. Assist/interface with manufacturing engineers as required by project/s Assist manufacturing in troubleshooting plant facilities. Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Support major investigations as SME of equipment and process. Manage and develop the PSM (Process Safety Management) program. Requirements 5-15 years Process design in an engineering or owner's role. BS, MS in Chemical Engineering, or other advanced degree or relevant experience. Preferred Experience Pulp and paper experience PSM/HAZOP/HAZID experience Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to talk and/or listen. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, to reach with hands and arms, climb ladders and stairs, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch and push or pull on objects. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. This position will require the use of safety equipment and clothing. Where noise levels exceed allowable limits, hearing protection is required and provided.
