Straumann Summary Straumann Manufacturing produces dental implants and associated parts at high volume. There are many different processes required to turn raw titanium into a dental implant with correct dimensional features, proper surface finishing, and appropriate packaging.
The co-op program has been in place for a number of years, and we pride ourselves in giving the co-op student responsibility in a hands-on apprentice type-learning environment.
Position Summary You will be challenged with a process improvement project, working both independently and as part of a team. You will report to the Director of Process Improvement and Technology and will function as a direct report engineer.
Tasks: Participate in process improvement activities in the following areas CNC MachiningAutomationStatistical Process Control (SPC)Laser MarkingPackaging / LabelingAnodizingSurface Treatment Data Analysis / Technology Collect and analyze Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R) informationUpdate documentation through Engineering Change Order (ECO) processValidation of New Processes Work Environment & Physical Demands:Sit/stand for 8 hours Minimum Qualifications:Enrolled in an engineering degree program at a college or university Preferred Qualifications:Mechanical aptitudeAbility to get along well with othersHigh degree of attention to detailEffective verbal and written communication skillsAnalytical problem solving skillsCAD Additional Information:
