Process Technologist – St. Paul, MN Harnessing our combined strength and innovative spirit, we venture into new therapeutic possibilities, aiming to create oral, transdermal, and intradermal drug delivery systems.
In the role of a Manufacturing Process Technologist, you will hold a crucial position within our mass preparation and coating team. Your proficiency in bulk/mass preparation, coating, slitting, and rewinding manufacturing processes and equipment will be instrumental in advancing both commercial-scale production and development projects.
This position demands a blend of technical proficiency, hands-on experience, and the ability to mentor and train team members. While assigned to the production department, you will collaborate closely with Research & Development (R&D) and Engineering teams to optimize processes, troubleshoot challenges, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
Duties/Responsibilities: Act as an expert in manufacturing processes, offering insights and suggestions to enhance production methodologies and results.
Take on the role of a safety leader on the floor, ensuring strict adherence to safety policies and procedures by production staff, visiting customers, and members of the management team.
Operate specialized manufacturing equipment in the mass preparation and coating area, focusing on maintaining high operational efficiency and product quality.
Perform general maintenance, cleaning, setup, and equipment changeover to support development and commercial scale processes.
Identify defects or issues during manufacturing processes and make necessary adjustments within defined process ranges.
Collaborate with R&D to facilitate development runs and translate innovative concepts into scalable manufacturing solutions.
Assist the engineering team in troubleshooting equipment and process issues, pinpointing root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects, applying lean manufacturing principles to boost productivity, minimize waste, and optimize costs.
Support the development and delivery of training programs for production personnel, fostering a culture of technical excellence, quality, and safety.
Contribute to knowledge sharing and the development of best practices within the organization.
Document and report production data, process modifications, and equipment changes in compliance with GMP/GDP requirements.
Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Education and Experience: High School degree or equivalent, required.
Associate degree or Technical Diploma from an accredited institution, preferred.
5+ years of experience working with mass preparation/formulation and web-based coating processes, required.
1+ years of experience working in a regulated industry (e.g. Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Hi-tech, Aerospace, etc.), preferred
Details: Pay range DOE $27-32 per hour
