Job Description: The Processing Manager is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operations in the processing department.
Reports directly to Chief Operating Officer.
Essential Functions:Oversee the packaging of all products produced in the processing department.Plan and create the production schedule and relay the production schedule to the processing team.Set weekly goals for all areas of the processing department.Hold daily morning meetings.Prepare cost estimates for consumables, equipment, and additional laborers when needed.Oversee quality control throughout the production process.Suggest process improvements to enhance production quality or efficiency. If process improvement is approved, implement said process with clearly defined standard operating procedures.Resolve labor issues and performance management with support of Human Resources.Work with other managers to coordinate production.Ensure company policies are being followed.Ensure safety protocols are being followed.Act decisively when solving issues.Produce weekly production reports.Coordinate with Senior leadership to achieve production goals.Coordinate with the team in planning and fulfilling the manufacturing schedule.Communicate with the COO about outgoing products and work orders.Ensure adequate inventory for all product types.Collect and interpret data to monitor and adjust daily operations for maximum output and quality.Track consumables usage and maintain the inventory.Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities Requirements:Ethical conduct and interpersonal skills.Excellent leadership and management skills, including 2 years of proven effective managerial experience.Familiarity with cannabis concepts, products, practices, and procedures.Extensive experience and good judgment to thoughtfully plan and accomplish company goals.Working Environment:Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, walking, and repetitive movements.Will be required to wear PPE at times.Prolonged exposure to humidity and high-intensity artificial lights.Must be able to move and/or lift a maximum of 50 pounds.Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl while working with ladders and heights.Note: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.Minimum Qualifications:Must be 21 years of age or older.High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Two or more years of cannabis processing experience preferred.Ability to pass the NJ CRC background check.Energetic team player, willing to take direction and learn new skills.Ability to communicate clearly and accurately.Knowledge of basic computer skills.Ability to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and a flexible schedule when needed.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multi-task with effective time management.Willingness to comply with state regulations and guidelines.We are proud to offer a competitive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short/long term disability insurance, 401K, and exciting potential for career growth.
