Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join our Corporate Finance team in our Plymouth, MN office. This position manages and performs work associated with coordinating, negotiating, and administering procurement proposals, bids, and contracts with new and existing suppliers and vendors. Responsible for optimizing cost savings, ensures procurement standards and guidelines are followed. Implements appropriate risk management measures related to the supply cycle. Serves as the main point of contact with Intact Financial Corporation Procurement in Canada.

Responsibilities:

Follows best practices in negotiating contractual terms and conditions, redlining contracts and overall contract review. Executes contracts, amendments, renewals, etc.
Conducts end-to-end RFP process.
Manages Third Party Risk Management process. Partners with Legal and IT Security to adhere to compliance.
Responsible for implementing appropriate risk management measures, including vendor vetting, to identify company risk and determine viable long-term partnerships with ethical business practices.
Conducts market analysis to achieve higher efficiencies and cost savings related to new and existing vendor contracts. Manages the procurement/strategic sourcing of suppliers and vendors.
Coordinates preparation of contract and bid documents, ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained throughout the process.
Collects and analyzes IT, financial, and legal information as input to contract and bid documents. Coordinates with applicable IT, finance or legal teams on matters requiring collaborative review.
Establishes standards and guidelines for vendors/suppliers. Responsible for documenting performance and Service Level Agreements and monitors vendors/suppliers' performance against those agreements to ensure obligations are fulfilled per contract terms.
Improves operational efficiency and reduces costs by maintaining metrics on relevant operations. Tracks metrics and partners with Finance in preparation of month-end and quarterly reports as needed.
Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with vendors and company departments and support functions with collaborative communication and ensures satisfaction levels are met.
Partners with members of Corporate Legal on improving efficiency and optimization of delivery of legal services through the use of templates, defined standards for legal review and client education.
Serves as the main point of contact and coordination with IFC Procurement in Canada and oversees the US Procurement Committee.
Requirements:

Must have expert analytical, negotiation, decision making, problem solving, organizational, communication and presentation skills.
Must have extensive knowledge of sales, the function of vendors, and how to protect the company in creating terms and conditions.
Must be up to date with the latest Procurement trends and approaches.
Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively, including expert oral, written and listening skills.
Must be prepared to handle circumstances not covered in writing.
Must be able to convert strategies into action in a personable, effective and confident manner with the ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders.
Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team and have the ability to interact with diverse groups of individuals, both internally and externally.
Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy and follow-through on projects. Must be able to work in a fast pace and rapidly changing environment.
A high degree of independent action with demonstrated strategic thinking is required.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree preferred, or related experience
7+ years of related experience with 5-7 years of vendor management, contracting for services, and procurement experience.
Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
Experience with Third Party Risk Management software required
