Procurement Sourcing Specialist

We are currently recruiting for a Procurement / Sourcing Specialist (6 month+ contract) in Purchase, NY (Hybrid schedule - in-office 3 days). The Procurement Specialist will be part of the Finance Operations team and responsible for providing procurement support. $50 - $60 Hourly Rate Responsibilities: Prepare and issue purchase orders, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions. Assist business teams to execute contracts and agreements, negotiate changes to contracts, and bring resolution to vendor disputes. Review and process contract requests using the contract management system, Novatus. Acts as a point of contact for procurement and travel-related activities. Negotiate and renew the contracts and pricing agreements with Travel related vendors. Assist the business teams in negotiating terms with suppliers including pricing, delivery schedules and scopes of work. Perform Risk analysis; monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns. Work with internal attorneys as needed to assist in completing contract reviews and ensure terms and conditions comply with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies. Provide guidance to internal business teams and staff on procurement/legal policies and procedures; train and develop business unit staff to submit contract requests and required documentation. Ensure that procurement actions and solicitations are in accordance with business regulations, and other requirements of Federal, State, and Local Laws. Assist professional staff and prepare a variety of formal and informal requests for quote, requests for proposal, and review specifications and scope of work for materials, equipment, supplies and services. Requirements: 5+ years of experience in procurement Experience in a contract system similar to Novatus Strong verbal and written communication skills Initiative-taking, highly organized, and able to prioritize College degree with a business and/or computer science concentration preferred Local candidates only. Must be in a commutable range to Purchase, NY (Hybrid schedule). 6 month contract. $50.00 - $60.00 Hourly Rate
