Fresh Alliance is an integral part of the Fresh Division as it directly works with both Fresh Concepts and Produce Alliance providing a direct sourcing and contracting resources to their end user customers.
This position is based out of either our Salinas, CA or our Suwanee, GA office on a hybrid schedule. We anticipate that this role will travel up to 40% of the time. We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role.
Your impact:
The Produce Buyer - Warm Veg Category is a self-motivated, ambitious produce salesperson with experience buying and selling warm vegetables. This person will generate additional business for the brand by working directly with growers and distributors as well as restaurant operators.
Make contact with quality customers/distributors to initiate new business
Responsible for sales, retention and growth of company assigned customers
Receive and confirm purchase orders via e-mail/phone
Handle customer claims and collections
High volume customer calling is a must
Domestic travel required for customer meetings
Must have solid relationships with warm veg suppliers
Need to be experienced in the consolidation process
About you:
Experience buying and selling produce
3-5 years of buying experience in the Warm Veg category preferred
Four-year college degree or suitable industry experience preferred
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required
Ability to work with Microsoft Office applications
Must have strong professional communication skills, problem solving skills
Constant professionalism and positive company image
Willing and able to travel up to 40% of the time

Competitive Pay with Commission Potential. Total pay will be based on industry experience and associated industry connections but will start at $75k base salary.
