Product Developer

Details of the offer

The Product Developer II is responsible for the development of a collection of products
and working closely with design, fit and spec, and merchandisers to bring products to
life. This position will be a member of our Youth team.
Objectives & Responsibilities: •Plan and track stages of development.
•Create and complete tech-packs and BOMs.
•Provide and coordinate feedback on design and fit directions and share with
team members.
•Write accurate design comments.
•Work with cross functional teams to ensure that all products and design goals
are manufacturable.
•Work with team to manage calendars and meet all deadlines for sample and
final production.
•Ensure that all products meet the highest level of construction quality.
•Be an expert in the PLM.
•Take product from designer sketch to TOP sample.
•Build detailed and company-coherent flat sketches.
•Set up, clean up, and manage design sessions, including detailed notes,
photographs and revised samples
Requirements •3 to 7 years of experience in product development, ideally in outdoor apparel.
•Proven record of development success in outdoor apparel.
•A passionate outdoor enthusiast.
•Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and PLM
software.
•Able to present clear and concise information in a verbal and written manner to
Design team and factory partners.
•Must understand how to bring value to the customer through construction and
innovation.
•Must be a team player and have a willingness to grow.
•Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
•Strong knowledge of apparel and merchandising, materials, and construction
and fit techniques.
•3D experience is a plus.
•Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional groups to meet strategic
objectives.
•Nimble and entrepreneurial in nature, with a genuine excitement for the
company mission.
•Ability to work at the ground level, multi task, and generate results.
