What you'll do...
Engineer electronic control module software
Evaluate program definition by working with platform systems and feature teams to determine content and market variations
Lead Statement of Work/RFQ package completion in conjunction with Hardware engineer.
Communicate with Electrical team to support program increment software development and program milestone delivery.
Lead product development milestone deliveries for software.
Work in an Agile environment. Support PI planning. Manage software releases and content.
Manage JIRA Epics and Stories to support Sagas and program increment deliveries
Manage JIRA stories status and progress through the sprint board
Manage software interface definition between suppliers and requirements in JAMA
Conduct design reviews with interfacing Ford activities and supplier engineering
Lead program specific software Failure Mode Avoidance (DFMEA)
Lead traceability evidence from suppliers to demonstrate linkage of specifications, requirements breakdown and test cases to DFMEA controls for safety related items.
Lead software release process and software change management
Manage Engineering changes via JIRA, DCR's, cost approval, and software release in JFROG.
Provide vehicle build support (e.g. Software Release Package, configurations, BreadBoards, HIL, Development builds, Pilot builds, etc.)
Lead supplier activities to diagnose bugs, determine root cause, resolution, and verification.
Identify and escalate critical delivery gaps (expose in JIRA)
Perform Customer Acceptance Testing
Lead software quality/warranty analysis and corrective actions
You'll have...
BS in Electrical Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
3+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
3+ years of experience developing electronic control modules.
5+ years of module development and launch.

MS in Electrical Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree
5+ years of related experience
Experience with Software program management
Understanding of electronic and/or vehicle systems
Experience with software coding and application development
Familiar with CAN tools (e.g. Vehicle spy, CANalyzer, CANoe, etc.)
Familiar with JIRA, JAMA, JFROG
Must be a motivated self-starter with the goal of delivering quality software on time
