Position Summary:
The Hospital and Health Care System Solutions Innovation Manager will be focused on execution of the New Market Strategic Revenue Growth Plan through leadership of new product development offerings as part of this newly created subcommittee.
Examples include consistent strategic application of the Idea Development Cycle, championing ideas by stage, transitioning validated concepts into a product development cycle, operationalizing the end-to-end development of selected products and services, and supporting decision making of use of board designated funds.
This role will be an advisory member of the Section on Fiscal Affairs (SFA) subcommittee and will work closely with staff and other committees and editorial boards based on topic specific expertise required.
This role is a versatile role at ASA and will use the agile development methodology and leverage the knowledge of the broader Business Development Organization.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
•Provide strategic alignment for the subcommittee, managing the entire lifecycle of the project from idea identification, business case development to design, build, QA, and deployment.
•Champion innovation projects analytically with the eye of a business owner, taking into account strategy, business, market, and technical requirements.
Also responsible for the ultimate quality of the solution along with the rest of the strategic growth team.
•Work within the Strategic Revenue Growth framework delivering against a prioritized project portfolio.
Effective and timely communication to project team members, peers, stakeholders and management on project status, accomplishments, tasks, issues, and risks to the project.
•Act as primary liaison with external consultants and internal stakeholders when needed within the context of an innovative stage gate process, including acting as a business champion managing all meetings, status updates, discussions of project risks, presenting value proposition, etc.
•Develop processes, procedures, and documentation to support this initiative.
•Utilize project methodology from a business vantage point to form a continuous improvement feedback loop to ensure that ASA is moving high value products and projects through to market launch.
•Work with Product Owners to perform business analyst functions such as development of user stories, requirements gathering, and creating workflow diagrams during the course of managing technology projects.
Position Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
•Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required, including product development and/or product launch experience.
Healthcare experience preferred.
•PMP certification preferred.
Experience working with both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies is preferred.
Experience leading inter-departmental projects.
•Experience in Microsoft Office 365 is required.
Experience in SharePoint, Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project is preferred.
•Must be able to manage multiple projects from start to finish, concurrently.
•Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines is required.
•Ability to develop professional-grade project documentation to support the lifecycle of the project.
•Ability to explain policies and procedures and establish effective working relationships is required amongst project team members, internal IT staff and different business functional areas.
•Effective problem solving, conflict management and meeting facilitation abilities are required.
•Experience facilitating and documenting market research in internal and external settings.
•Ability to think innovatively, lead technical solution meetings amongst IT staff and business staff, and ensure proper implementation.
•Communicates and presents effectively with executive leaders.
•Ability to analyze data, communicate with stakeholders, and develop recommendations for solving problems that are feasible within the existing environment.
