InterDigital is looking for an experienced technology leader to play a leading role in developing transformational technologies for our internal IP portfolio lifecycle processes, reporting to the Senior Director, AI Lab. The company is seeking motivated IP practitioners who are passionate and well versed in applying state of the art natural processing tools (NLP) and frameworks to optimize our internal processes.
Responsibilities:
•Evaluate and maintain up-to-date knowledge of existing product landscape for IP portfolio development and management solutions
•Provide recommendations on build vs. buy decisions
•Develop and drive product vision based on internal patent and standards participation workflows
•Work with users and stakeholders to determine requirements and create user stories and epics
•Design and own the product roadmap working with development team to produce MVPs that can be taken to production; maintain and prioritize the product backlog
•Manage all aspects of in-life products, including customer feedback, requirements, and issues
•Represent the customer (be a proxy) within the development process
•Promote products internally by giving demos to Sr. Management
•Run training sessions for internal users of the products
Qualifications/Experience:
•M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Math, or other relevant discipline
•Significant experience in all aspects of the patent lifecycle - from drafting to licensing and enforcement.
•Strong familiarity with wireless and video standards
•Strong prototyping skills with NLP tools applied to patents and related documents.
•Solid understanding of the AI and NLP techniques-based tools and techniques for Patent Lifecyle Management
•Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to explain complex technical topics to a lay audience.
•Ability to clearly articulate a vision, have influence, and lead teams to success
•Very strong project management skills

A reasonable estimate of the current salary range specific to New York/CA is $150,000 - $240,000 /annually + discretionary incentive bonus, benefits and may include other forms of compensation components such as long-term incentives. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
