The RIA Custody team at Goldman Sachs is responsible for delivering innovative digital products to our RIA client base.
We design and build highly scalable web, mobile and API platforms that offer innovative product and services to help RIAs meet their goals as well as their clients needs.
These digital tools help to transform and provide a holistic end user experience for both the advisor and their clients, while generating new revenue streams for Goldman Sachs Global Markets franchise.
RIA Custody at Goldman Sachs is a product driven team, composed of talented and passionate product managers, designers, researchers, marketers, salespeople and engineers, all working together to develop new and innovative products that will disrupt the RIA marketplace.
The RIA Custody product group is expanding rapidly, and our product managers are aligned around our business goals of increasing platform adoption, user engagement and assets under custody (AUC).
Our product managers are entrepreneurially-minded and solve complex business, technical, and design challenges that help support the current state and future growth of our digital platform.
As a product manager in RIA Custody, you have responsibility for forming a strategic vision for digital products, understanding user needs and behavior, and work with some of the most exceptional people in the RIA industry to transform your vision into products that shape the future of the RIA industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
RESPONSIBILITIES Define the product vision for digital RIA products and communicate that vision to internal and external stakeholders.
Identify market opportunities and build business case for new features, products, and revenue streams.
Support a multi-disciplinary team to develop and enhance features across multiple platforms that contribute to our digital strategy across the firm.
Understand financial markets, customer needs, and competitive environment in depth.
Interact with clients to understand their needs and identify new opportunities.
Prioritize potential initiatives by understanding alignment with business strategy and OKRs.
Launch features in coordination with senior stakeholders, engineers, designers, marketing, sales, legal, compliance, operations, and support.
Identify, collect, and continuously analyze metrics to measure product success.
Work closely with engineering teams to deliver roadmaps in an agile manner.
Perform UAT testing.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS BA/BS in a technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of commercial experience working within product management or a related field.
Proven success in launching digital products to institutional and/or retail end users.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Background or interest in financial markets.
Exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
Keen interest in understanding usage data and how to use that data to make product decisions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MBA, MS, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience working as a product manager for a digital platform.
Experience with agile practices and JIRA for issue tracking.
Familiarity with OKR frameworks.
Knowledge of RIA technology advances is preferred but not required.
