We are seeking a Product Owner to lead the development of curriculum products and features from ideation through to launch, taking full ownership of multiple complex projects. In this role, you will independently manage the product backlog, lead Agile ceremonies, and prioritize tasks based on product strategy, market needs, and user feedback. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. This role is suited for someone with solid experience in product management who can drive projects with little to no supervision.
Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesProject Management: Independently manage multiple, complex curriculum product projects. Lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stand-ups. Take full ownership of project timelines, resource management, and ensuring deliverables meet product goals.Backlog Management: Own the product backlog, writing and refining user stories and acceptance criteria independently. Prioritize backlog items based on strategic importance, customer feedback, and market opportunities to ensure alignment with the product vision.Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and address project risks and blockers across multiple projects, ensuring smooth delivery of products. Develop mitigation strategies to avoid delays and roadblocks.Customer Representation: Develop a deep understanding of the product and represent the voice of the customer throughout the development process. Gather and integrate customer feedback into the development cycle to ensure the product meets user needs.Communication & Updates: Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders. Facilitate communication across teams to ensure everyone is aligned on priorities, progress, and any challenges.Quality Assurance: Collaborate with stakeholders to define clear quality and success criteria for product features. Ensure product quality aligns with customer expectations and business goals.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain and create detailed documentation such as user stories, release notes, and progress reports. Provide clear visibility into the development process for all stakeholders.Agile Methodologies: Lead the product development process using Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban. Facilitate efficient and effective collaboration across teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.Skill Development & Leadership: Act as a mentor to junior product owners and contribute to the improvement of processes and tools.
