Product Owner/BSA: Media/Entertainment Description: As a member of the Asset Management, Product Management Team, the Business Systems Analyst is responsible for participating in the successful delivery of products and solutions supporting the Lines of Business under the direction of the Manager, Product Development for the entertainment/media business.
The successful candidate will develop a productive partnership with technology product owners, business stakeholders, and technical team members.
They will more specifically be responsible for producing, grooming, prioritizing, and overall timely management of the requirements backlog as well as developing user acceptance criteria.
They will assist in business adoption/change management activities and analyzing/reporting on the impact of introduced solutions on the business.
Pay Range $70 - $75/Hour Responsibilities: Foster Agile development methodologies and best practices Participate in elicitation sessions with Business Partners in order to clarify business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements Assist in the business case development using modeling techniques and methods as needed Produce clear and concise visualizations from elicitation sessions that will drive balanced solutions Define precise and accurate User Story acceptance criteria that will be used by Engineers, QA automation test frameworks and by Product Owners to ensure that Product Owner intent is effectively captured Assist in the creation of project approval request documentation Work with the Product Owner and Project Manager to facilitate user acceptance testing Arrange client reviews of software under development, ensuring client satisfaction Work with the business to ensure business adoption Measure impact of solutions on the business Required Skills / Experience: 3-5 years of experience performing business and data analysis within a large enterprise covering both business and information technology domains Proficient in SQL in order to research data and build analysis reports (optional) Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders and to translate business requirements for technical developers Strong business process definition capabilities, including the ability to capture process flows visually according to standard methodologies Strong problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal skills and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences within a collaborative team environment Highly motivated individual to improve the skills and capabilities of his/her organization A sense of ownership and responsibility for delivery Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies Must be able to work independently, support several projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively Preferred Qualifications: Business analyst Level 3 career practitioner including practical application of the techniques outlined in BABOK v3 3-5 years of experience using Agile SCRUM methodology Experience in Media & Entertainment, specifically in Digital Asset Management Technical experience AWS and/or Python (optional) Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related tech
