We are looking for a Product Quality and Automation, Director to join our team located in Santa Clara, CA, or Tacoma WA, or Austin, TX remote, reporting to the VP of Software Engineering. In this role, you will define and implement a strategy for product quality and automation across our Engineering organization. You will also lead our QA team, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability for our SaaS products. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies, driving automation initiatives, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional software solutions.

What you'll do: Lead and mentor QA managers, engineers, and automation specialistsFoster a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and accountabilityDevelop and manage budgets, resources, and timelinesDefine and implement QA processes, standards, and best practicesDevelop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scriptsEnsure thorough testing of all software releases, including functional, regression, performance, and security testingDrive the adoption of test automation frameworks and toolsIdentify opportunities for automation and streamline testing processesOversee the development and maintenance of automated test suitesWork closely with Product Management, Development, and Operations teams to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycleCommunicate QA metrics, progress, and issues to stakeholdersAdvocate for quality and provide insights to improve product performance and user experienceStay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA and automationImplement innovative solutions to enhance testing efficiency and effectivenessConduct regular reviews and audits of QA processes and outcomesWhat you'll bring: 20+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 8 years of experience in a leadership roleProven experience with SaaS products and network services such as DNS, DHCP, and IPAMSolid knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processesExpertise in test automation frameworks and tools, like Selenium, JUnit, and TestNGExperience with Amazon Web Services, such as EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, CloudFormation, etc. is a plusKnowledge of DNS protocol and general networking concepts, and knowledge of Unix/Linux environmentsExperience working on an agile development processFull software development life-cycle experience with a proven track record of shipping softwareResults-oriented with a solid work ethic and excellent attention to detail and qualityExperience with DNS, DHCP is a plusExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentBachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering required, master's degree preferredWhat success looks like: After six months, you will…
