The Product Quality Director responsible for EOS/EIPD/ESD is an important hands-on role within the Corporate Quality team and interfaces with our business groups and sometimes customers.
This position requires a highly skilled and motivated technologist with 10-15 years of combined experience in Device Engineering, ESD & Latch-up Design, and customer support.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with debugging and solving ESD/EIPD & Latch-up fails through problem solving with internal/external customers, physical FA, schematic and layout analysis, and process review.
A strong understanding of process technology including breakdown mechanisms, schematics and layout is essential.
ResponsibilitiesA strategic resource for all business units to address their complex EOS/EIPD/ESD issues.Develop, maintain, and optimize an EOS/EIPD/ESD investigative process.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand EOS/EIPD root causes and translate into EOS/EIPD solutions.Create and implement EOS/EIPD reduction plans through EOS/EIPD FAs and lessons learned.Build expertise within the company to address EOS/EIPD issues.Continuously learn and adapt to new techniques, tools and technologies to improve investigative processes and outcomes.QualificationsMaster's Degree (Ph.D preferred) in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, or relevant field.10-15 years of combined experience in Device Engineering and ESD & Latch-up Design.Strong knowledge of device physics with a solid understanding of the interaction between various parameters in understanding behavior.Experience with identifying root cause and solving ESD/EOS failures through DoE and schematic and layout analysis.Knowledge of semiconductor failure analysis techniques.
Experience in using those techniques preferred.Strong team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.Exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills, with a problem-solving mindset.Direct experience developing ESD & Latch-up devices and rules or customer production line ESD/EIPD audits a plus.
onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $198,605.00 - $357,765.00 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.
The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
