Position: Production Technician
Team: Ministry Services - Central-Shakopee Campus
Reports to: Campus Production Manager
Status: Non-exempt 20 hours/week
Position Description: The Production Technician - Shakopee is primarily responsible technically supporting all the ministries within Hosanna Support includes audio, visual, and lighting, focusing primarily on audio.
Requirements
Responsible for the audio support for the ministries within Hosanna as needed and as assigned.
These include, but not limited to, weekend services, mid-week youth programming, and special eventsEffectively and accurately maintain audio equipment throughout Hosanna.Provide technical support for other campuses as assigned Lead Campus Production ManagerParticipate in team meetings and other assigned meetings.Responsible for effectively communicating with the various ministries the Production team supports.Explore cutting edge ways to lead Hosanna's audio department at the assigned campus.Support the worship leaders in creating innovative and creative elements.Responsible for recruiting, developing, encouraging and leading volunteers and/or teams of volunteers where appropriate within the ministry.Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Education/Experience High School diploma - requiredBachelor's, Associate or technical degree preferredExperience/skills with professional audio equipment, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, best practices.
Additionally, experience/skills with live production - audio, video, lighting, multimedia, music & stage design with live production - audio, video, lighting, multimedia, music & stage design Competencies Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.Knowledge of live production - audio, video, lighting, multimedia, music and stage design.Willing to learn new techniques and technologies in production and communications.Able to operate, maintain and organize media on computer systems and production equipment, along with sound boards, cameras, and other technical equipment.Proven sensitive and mature interpersonal skillsAbility to collaborate well in cross-functional teams and projects across the organization.Strong interpersonal skills in working with different personalities and leadership styles. Working Conditions & Physical Demands Schedule will include working evening, weekend, and extended hours as required by ministry needs.
This includes Christmas Eve and Easter.Typical hours will be split between weekdays, weekends/evenings with a primary focus on regular programming.Extensive standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time.Repetitive keyboard and mouse movements requirements.Able to set up and take down production equipment, including but not limited to, audio equipment, cameras, tripods, lights, sandbags, etc.
Able to lift 50+ pounds as necessary for the production equipment. A mature faith, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, commitment to the Teaching Statement and ministries of Hosanna, a signed Hosanna Leadership Covenant, and submission to Biblical authority along with membership in the congregation and worship at Hosanna are requirements for all employees.
