Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacturing under the general supervision of the Planner / Buyer.
Reports to the Distribution Manager.
Responsibilities:
Reviews sales forecast and customer order demands to establish a master production plan and schedule.
Analyzes plant capacity data and production specifications and performs mathematical calculations to determine labor/material requirements to meet the time demands of the plan.
Interfaces with Customer Service, Sales, Product Managers, and Planners in other Hayward companies to satisfy customer demands.
Communicates effectively with Supervisors, Leads and Line workers to ensure that plan efficiency, schedule adherence and schedule changes are maintained.
Purchases and expedites needed materials, based on lead times and safety stock, from various vendors, both domestic and international.
Reviews and approves engineering changes or new product implementation for feasibility and schedule into the production plan for execution.
Facilitates daily activities for Inbound and Inventory.
Recommends material substitution to engineering and product manager to ensure the production schedule is maintained and to meet any unforeseen conditions.
Works with Commodity Managers as needed.
Monitors inventory levels (dollars/units) of assigned product line.
Maintains and updates item master list as necessary.
Performs all other duties as assigned by Manager or Planner / Buyer.

Education and Experience: High School education.
Prefer someone with manufacturing planning experience but will train the right candidate.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None Required; however, APICS certification as a CPIM is helpful.
Other Skills and Abilities: Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of MRPII application and P.C.
literate.
