Job Description: JOB SUMMARY: The Production Expeditor is responsible for the steady flow and physical movement of work-in-progress (WIP) product throughout the manufacturing facility including the machining cells. The incumbent is responsible for updating job order progress to ensure timely completion while updating and maintaining records for completed production process transactions in the ERP system.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Assist Materials personnel with issuing bar stock to job orders, picking orders, processing, transport product along the various job order operations as each operation is completed, in a timely and efficient manner.Support Production Supervisors on releasing Job Orders (Work Orders) for the floor.Ensure Deburr Technicians have their appropriate tools and material to initiate their workday.Follow proper packaging techniques and documentation and deliver packages to the appropriate person within the company.Record accurate data for product movement on job order paperwork and input data, such as inventory and WIP transactions into Syteline ERP system.Transactions include but are not limited to; purchase order receiving, job order kitting, job order shipping and receiving, and job order moves. If machines are running low with the jobs, request more jobs for manufacturing.Follow QMS procedures in connection with all the Materials department functions, ensuring tight controls applicable to restricted and approved inventory and lot tracking are strictly enforced.Assist with on-going cycle counts, annual and periodic physical inventories and reconciliation of discrepancies in WIP and Inventory.Assist with sorting Discrepancy Reports (DR's).Pull bar stock to feed the CNC machines after receiving the job traveler from the Planner and kit the bars used in the ERP system.This position will also require supporting other departments if needed.The position will also include some form of handling other auxiliary tasks.Job Requirements: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.2+ years' experience in warehousing, inventory control or manufacturing environments; and/or overseeing small, lot controlled parts.6+ months experience using Basic MS Word and Excel.Must possess and maintain a valid CA driver's license.OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Forklift certification a plus. Prior work for ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 manufacturer and/or Syteline ERP is a plus. Strong organization skills. Good interpersonal skills required. Ability to multi-task and change priorities frequently.
Target Market Salary Range: $19.90 - $27.00 per hour.
