Hours: 3:00 P.M. - 11:30 P.M, OT and some Saturdays
The Line Lead will coordinate employee activities and product handling of an assigned production line to ensure maximum line efficiencies while in accordance with our quality and food safety standards. Essential duties and responsibilities Coordinate employee activities and product handling of an assigned production line; work along with line employeesReceive instruction from the Production Supervisor/Assistant for product orders that need to be processedOrganize line crew to process orders received effectivelyOrder product and packaging materials in an organized manner to ensure maximum line efficiencyPrioritize order processing in relation to shipping requirements and production schedulesReport all production activities for assigned lines into the computer or paper formsFill out the required Quality Assurance formsTrain and assign work for daily employeesMaintain communication with the Supervisor/Assistant on any production or staff-related issuesEnsure all line employees safely operate equipment used on the line, as well as follow all safety proceduresCross-train line employees on any other lines assigned at any given timeMaintain clean work areaQualifications/Requirements Bilingual English/Spanish preferredHigh School diploma or GED preferredMust have a working knowledge of general warehouse operations; food industry experience a plusMust be flexible with hours, a possibility for OTAbility to lift 55lbs (anything over 55lbs, team lift)Must follow all WF GMPs and work consistently with all food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsSkills/Abilities Must have basic computer skillsAbility to read and write EnglishUnderstand the basics of scale operations, weights, and measurementsDemonstrate good leadershipAbility to prioritize and learn quicklyGood verbal and written communication skillsFlexibility to adapt to different production linesAbility to multi-taskStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsMust be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural documentsPhysical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
