What's The Opportunity?
IMS is seeking a Production Manager for our Skokie, IL office (hybrid position).
The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of sourcing, purchasing, production, and project management for client marketing programs.
This role involves collaborating with vendors, internal teams, and clients to manage the development and production of print materials, displays, and branded merchandise for client campaigns.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Account Management
Manage and source a wide range of product types, including branded merchandise, print POP/POS, and both temporary and permanent displays.
Evaluate each project and select the most suitable vendor(s) to meet client requirements.
Collaborate with Account Management to understand client objectives and develop specifications for both new initiatives and standard sourcing elements.
Propose production ideas, recommendations, and innovations that align with promotion goals, budget, and intended use.
Offer production solutions that enhance quality, reduce costs, and add value.
Ensure excellent customer service by providing timely and relevant status updates to all stakeholders.
Project Management Maintain adherence to IMS processes, systems and financial disciplines.
Ensure compliance with IMS processes, systems, and financial guidelines.
Prepare RFQs and request pricing from IMS's strategic supplier base.
Develop estimates and timelines for client approval.
Oversee production timelines and schedules to ensure timely delivery in line with client requirements.
Establish and maintain project budgets.
Issue purchase orders and manage all aspects of production through to final delivery, including invoice reconciliation.
The Skills and Experience You Have Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a proven history of career progression.
5-8 years of experience in either print point of sale, retail signage, or branded merchandise.
Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities under tight timelines.
Critical thinking, strong analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
Excellent project management skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and handle a variety of tasks effectively and efficiently.
Poised, calm working style; ability to work well under pressure.
Must be a team player.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
