Position: Production Manager Job Description: Demonstrate Competence: Responsible to plan, direct and coordinate the production, packaging and shipping departments. Responsible to ensure compliance and improvements in safety, health and environmental. Responsible to maintain quality control of product. Responsible to prioritize and prepare production schedules and communicate production goals and results to the appropriate departments. Must be able to analyze equipment efficiency, materials supply and coordinate manpower requirements. Responsible to properly manage, train and supervise shift leads and operations personnel. Communication and Teamwork: Ensure employee engagement and communication are enthusiastically utilized to produce business results. Coordinate and Facilitate employee safety training programs and job specific training. Collection/verification/reporting of daily/weekly/monthly production and inventory data. Production/Indirect personnel scheduling as directed by the Plant Manager. Vacation/attendance tracking/reporting with Ops.
Coordinator. Daily/weekly/monthly environmental data acquisition/reporting.
(Water/air quality.
) Oversee corrective action policies and procedures and employee performance evaluations. Supports recruiting efforts and evaluates potential employees. Inspections, Safety and Maintenance: Responsible for the safe operation of the facility while coordinating the LigneticsSafety Program at the plant level.
Includes all reporting requirements both for Lignetics and as required by OSHA or state and federal regulations.Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure efficient plant operations.Oversees the implementation of all quality control SOP policies/procedures. Production Manager Qualifications/Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Management or related field preferred.3-5 years of related supervisory experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.Must have a "roll up your sleeves" approach, be highly analytical and forward thinking.
This is a day-to-day operating role but also one that requires resourcefulness, strategic thinking, and exceptional leadership and motivational skills.Requires a degree of technical and analytical skills.Must be able to work in varying degrees of temperature/ humidity and exposure to indoor and outdoor environments.
