SUMMARY The Production Manager will be responsible for leading the day to day activities for all production areas across 3 shifts which includes stamping, die cast, plating, machining, assembly and other miscellaneous processes. Some of this leader's responsibilities will include deployment of production-related business processes, collaborating on associate training and development, driving continuous improvement actions, understanding customer demand, assuring proper resources are allocated, executing the Kanban production management system and building structure to ensure consistent and sustained results.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Hands-on leader that methodically and effectively brings together teams to drive bottom-line results thru all areas of the manufacturing operation. Build consistency in the way manufacturing processes are documented, deployed, executed and sustained by utilizing standardized work, structured business processes and ensuring associates are adequately trained. Drive continuous improvement and reliably execute to meet or exceed KPI targets such as Safety, Cost of Quality, Kanban fill, Productivity, Overtime and Expenses. Leverage lean concepts such as value stream maps, visual factory, standard work, error proofing, single piece flow, six sigma, kaizen, TPM and Industry 4.0 to simplify the organization and eliminate decisions in all things related to operations. Coordinate with key stakeholders and foster collaborative partnerships to create execution plans and innovative solutions when roadblocks arise delivering high quality products on-time at target cost. Identify and proactively plan for potential changes in customer demand, resource availability, downtime and material shortages to minimize impact to our customers, associates and financial performance. Create strong and diverse teams by developing new leaders, hiring top level talent and pursuing actions to increase associate engagement and improve culture. Provide challenging goals & objectives, candid performance reviews with constructive feedback, and growth-oriented development and succession plans. Inspire teams as a positive-minded and strategic-thinking change agent at all levels of the organization. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This role will have supervisory responsibilities for both salary and hourly union associates which will include interviewing, training, creating challenging objectives, planning/prioritizing work, appraising performance, providing constructive feedback, development planning, succession planning and working with human resources to address all disciplinary/associate issues as necessary.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum of BS/BA degree in Engineering discipline, or Supply Chain/Business Management. 5+ years experience of progressively increasing leadership in manufacturing operations preferred. Building a culture of problem-solvers through change management and systemic approach using root cause problem identification tools. Experience identifying, developing and improving upon missing/inadequate business processes. Deep understanding and knowledge of how to apply Lean/6-Sigma concepts. Collect, analyze & interpret data to develop insightful solutions, and present clearly & concisely. Comfortable leading as a change agent in a transformation environment. Ability to influence and empower others thru strong communication skills. The ability to manage multiple projects and work in a team environment.
