Production Manager, Optima (Belvidere, NJ)Production Manager, Optima Belvidere, NJ On-Site The Optima Manufacturing Plant is a multi-product beadleting facility for encapsulating pure vitamins. The vitamin encapsulation process is technically complex with proprietary technologies. The process runs 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The product portfolio contains 16 products in four product families, namely vitamins A, E, D3, and PUFA. The products are run in multiple campaigns. The plant includes a packaging Suite with three independent packaging lines. The finished products are primarily used in food and pharmaceutical applications.
Relevant compliance: cGMP's Food and ICHQ7A for Pharma Products.Materials produced satisfy Kosher (OU) and Halal requirements.FSSC 22000.ISO 9001 and 14001 compliant.The Production Manager, Optima delivers the agreed volume of product(s) at the lowest cost and in conformity with SHEQ requirements, best practices, and all relevant laws and regulations. Develops plans & programs to improve Quality, SHE performance, and Asset capabilities to fulfill site Manufacturing Plan and Business Operations Strategy Formulations as relevant for Optima.
Key Responsibilities: Plan, direct, and organize production process activities to ensure compliance with corporate and government standards, rules, and regulations, and other industrial codes and practices.Identifies and oversees objectives and key performance measures and drives continuous improvement activities (DICI) to achieve short and long-term goals established.With the support of OPS MTE and IP departments gauges Formulation Operations performance against DNP Formulations 'best practice' to identify process and productivity improvements that will maintain our leadership position within the market.Accountable for safety and health of employees; the integrity of the environment; and quality of resulting outputs in areas of responsibility.Conceives, reviews, approves, and maintains adherence to all product cost standards, manufacturing, operating budgets consistent with corporate and global competitive requirements.As a member of site leadership, supports in formulating site goals consistent with global strategy as well as site policies and procedures and organizational constructs that integrate and achieve site, corporate, and global vision, mission, and initiatives.Updates process team members regarding organizational goals and performance. As a member of the Leadership Team, shares process-related information and participates in site/organization-related management activities.Formulates plan and ensures delivery of developmental, compliance, operational, managerial, and technical training. Identifies and supports subordinates who are the best candidates for future development by the company.
