Production Manager (Long Island)

Client Overview: Our client is a MUST have fashion brand creating trendy and exciting apparel and accessories for kids.
They are rapidly growing and looking to expand the team!
This role is on site five days a week on Long Island. Production Manager Responsibilities: Oversee production for all active orders, ensuring adherence to scheduled delivery and quality standardsManage the manufacturing process, ensuring products are produced efficiently and in accordance with quality standards.Communicate with overseas vendors regarding production orders, encompassing sample approval, costing, production timelines, packaging, and purchase order placement.Organization of team production calendar, ensuring all departments are aware of and regularly reminded of their milestone deadlines.Negotiate costs with factories for order placement.Evaluate pre-production, and top-of-production samples.Analyze cost comparisons among various vendors and determine factory allocation.Oversee tech design team to ensure all seasonal fittings are organized and completed by their deadline.Distribution of various packing guidelines and retailer packing standards, ensuring all is satisfied correctly prior to shipment of goods. Production Manager Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred5-7 years of experience in productionExperience in working with overseas/ Chinese manufacturing.Prior experience with an ERP or inventory control system.
