Job Summary:

The Production Planner directly reports to the Director of Purchasing & Lean. The position is responsible for cohesive daily and long-term scheduling and planning of Chemical Operations, Coating, and Slitting departments. Managing Supply Chain Planning spanning from S&OP, Demand Planning, MRP, Capacity, and Shop Floor scheduling. The planner will be a good steward of the plant assets of tooling, people, and WIP by buffering them from market variation. Expectations are to continuously deliver value to the business via On Time Delivery, Schedule Stability, and Inventory Management. This position is located at the Adhesives Research, Inc. facility in Glen Rock, PA.

Essential Functions:

Plans and establishes production schedules using Oracle ERP and APS system; allocates work to the proper work centers; monitors inventories of materials; tracks progress of production; makes necessary modifications to schedules
Prepare, Facilitates, and Execute S&OP at a Global Level. Drives cross-functional alignment and visibility of demand, strategic growth, and supply. Present volumes, associated risks, and propose mitigating plans
Manages Capacity Planning. Ensures Schedules optimize the labor and machine resources.
Reviews and evaluates the forecast to facilitate Demand Reviews, SIOP, and capacity
Use Data analysis and Excel gymnastics to analyze complex problems and present solutions
Drive and leverage business systems for consistency, efficiency, and business control: Oracle ERP, MRP, and OpCenter APS
Solve Problems, Present Solutions, and Drive for Continuous Improvement of Process
Backup team members planning and scheduling activities
Maintain schedule stability
Directs yearly physical inventories and all cycle counts
Hold yourself in high character and be a positive representative of the AR Family
Conducts all aspects of position in a professional, respectful manner consistent with AR Guiding Principles
Know, Measure, and Drive to meet or exceed KPI's for Supply - Schedule Stability, OTD, INV$, Turns, Expired Inventory, and Scrap
Lead Meetings, Make Decisions, and resolve Non-Standard issues as they arrive in a self-directed manner.
Provide leadership to achieve business goals and objectives as related to S&OP, Capacity, MRP, and Production Planning
Leads scheduling activities, including development of the master production schedule.
Responsible for overseeing the coordination of orders to meet OTD targets
Provides Delivery Commitments for all orders shipping from Glen Rock site
Provides a viable, executable plan and monitors schedule attainment with Operations
Manages inventory forecasting and report on variances
Performs root cause analysis of obsolete / expired inventories to prevent reoccurring scrap
Assists Accounting to manage Oracle master data, while expanding our ERP functionality
Effectively communicates Wins, Challenges, Solutions, and Learnings with other associates, lead operators, and supervisors
Achieves department goals and objectives to support top line growth
Additional Responsibilities:

Job Specifications:

Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or other relevant field is required
5+ years of Production Planning, MRP, Capacity, and S&OP experience in a manufacturing facility
Experience with ERP, MRP Supply Chain planning systems in a Work Center environment (Oracle, OpCenter)
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred
Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and have a passion for excellence
Superior teamwork skills and proven ability to collaborate with others
Ability to effectively present and communicate throughout the organization
Results oriented, demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding commitments
Bias for continuous improvement and problem resolution.
Advanced computer proficiency (Oracle, MRP, ERP, Excel, + Power BI, Microsoft Office) to be used for analytics, decision making, and communication
Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving ability
Superior Character, Attitude, and Drive
