Job Title: Production Planner
Job Description
The Planner leads strategic and tactical activities concerned with the manufacturing of company products.
In this role, you will establish and manage forecasts and detailed schedules required to support shipping dates according to customer requirements and business objectives.
You will be responsible for managing sales orders status and adherence to on-dock-date through all phases of the manufacturing and shipping process.
Control and track all levels of inventory for the assigned business unit: raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
Develop, publish, and maintain related production schedules and forecasts while balancing inventory, resources, and capacity.
Review MRP requirements and process applicable action (exception) messages for the assigned product family.
Analyze available reports to support production schedules and other strategic inventory plans.
Generate work order packages as required and ensure timely delivery to the appropriate department and/or work-cell.
Coordinate cross-functional activities with all internal departments (quality, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, shipping, contracts, etc.)
to ensure alignment on priorities and other business objectives.
Attend MRB review meetings as required.
Work mandatory overtime as needed to support on-time delivery and sales targets.
