Title: Production Planner
Location: Branchburg, NJ

Responsibilities:Act as main contact between company sites in regards to manufacturing and ordering for site in New Jersey.Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.Maintain and report performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.Develop a 12-18 month rolling supply plan based on sales forecast on a monthly basis.Maintain required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.Responsible for monthly analysis of the 12-month forecast, alerting the Sales Department when discrepancies between forecasted and actual sales trends are observed.Analyze current inventories and procedures; suggest improvements to increase efficiency of the supply chain.Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implement subsequent changes to processes.Identify best distribution of inventory across US warehouses to efficiently service customers.Assess the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; make recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.Negotiate prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.Participate as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials, production, and final product availability.Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.Maintain production schedule according to monthly sales forecast and customer orders.Ensure required sample stock for new customers is maintained to allow fast delivery and new business development.Review and report Manufacturing plant capacity and utilization based on supply and production plan.Requirements:Extensive experience in supply chain management.Hands-on, working very closely with operations and the warehouse team.Proficiency in Excel is crucial, as well as a background in working with SAP.Bachelor's Degree in Business/Engineering or related field required.3+ years of experience in a similar position required.Experience in manufacturing GMP setting, food/pharma is a plus.SAP/ERP/MRP Experience.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
