About the Opportunity:

•Job Title: Production Specialist

•Pay: $23/Hour

•Location: Minneapolis, MN

•Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon-Fri 7AM-3:30PM.

Daily functions:
Operates a variety of equipment to produce parts that meet specifications.Basic machine set-upWork includes short-run work requiring the worker to plan, lay out and perform all types of forming operations to fabricate a wide variety of units or products of simple to complex design involving close tolerances.Load cold-formed steel (CFS) profiles (14ga - 20ga track, stud, angle, hat channel, and other profiles) into machines.Set-up and operate light-gauge steel bending machines and equipment that is unique to Radius Track (proprietary bending, crimping, and rolling machines) to form the required radiuses.
Some machines are computer controlled, while others are manually operated.Operate miscellaneous machines and hand-held tools, such as shears, slitters, screw guns, chop saws, hammers, etc.Follow quality control/quality assurance procedures to ensure material is produced to close tolerances.
Must inspect completed product for accuracy.Read production documents, label parts, and organize finished material is required.Checks necessary production paperwork in connection with shipments to ensure all material has been produced.
Desired qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.2-3 years relevant work experience preferred.
Highest pay range for those with 5+.Must have experience reading tape measure and good with fractions.Requires high school level reading.
Requires the ability to read shipping and receiving documents, etc.
and basic math skills.Requires basic math skills, with a basic knowledge of geometry.Will need to work from drawings or specifications.Basic carpentry skills are useful.
The job requires the ability to operate hand tools (screw gun, chop saw, etc), reading a tape measure and a ruler in tenths of an inch, as well as a metric ruler.Work will involve frequent handling of moderate to heavy materials and will include walking and standing most of the time.Worker will use carts, pallet jacks and forklifts.
Any necessary training and certification will be provided by Company if need be.Limited amount of spray paint is used daily.
Physical requirements:
Must be able to lift to 25 pounds repeatedly during the shift, 50 pounds on occasion and rarely up to 100lbs.Regularly bends, twists, stoops, pushes, pulls, and reaches with hands and arms.Must be able to stand or sit as needed for the entire shift.Very keen vision and hearing is required.Must have good physical strength and stamina, good hand-eye coordination and good dexterity in hand manipulation and muscle coordination.
