Regal Rexnord Industries, LLC, a leading supplier in the Aerospace industry, is seeking a Production Manager who will report directly to the Manufacturing Manager and manages the production operations and continuous improvement initiatives for the Assembly, Machining, Secondary Machining, Grind, Lapping, Honing, Rollers and Staking Tool Departments.
The Production Manager owns the metrics of safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, total associate engagement, cross training and 5S for a large portion of the aerospace manufacturing operations.
The Production Manager is responsible for driving improvements in all of the aforementioned metrics as well as developing the shop floor Team Leaders and Associates to take ownership of their areas and function as a cohesive, independent group.
Key Accountabilities Drive Safety Awareness and ImprovementsVerify Associates adherence to all quality proceduresEnsure daily maintenance of the SQDC reporting by each departmentImplement Operations OTD CountermeasuresOwn Quarterly Performance Review process for each associate and give regular performance feedbackVerify completion of TPM activities in each department and drive equipment downtime issues to resolutionLead and maintain 5S activities and standardsLead communication meetings with shop teamsCoach and empower Team Leaders and Associates to improve and take ownership of their areas and TeamsEnsure timely flow of orders through the shopDevelop and lead effort to cross train associatesLead transition of DG Manufacturing to Future State VisionMaintain employee timekeeping and absencesStrong problem solving skills. Capabilities and Success Factors 4 year college degree or related experience in a manufacturing environmentAerospace manufacturing environment (machine shop) preferableMinimum 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required, in a machine shop preferred.Experience participating in/leading Kaizen Events focused on process improvements using lean manufacturing techniquesExposure to continuous improvement concepts a plus.Effective communicator with strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong leadership style and ability effectively escalate production and personnel issues to get them resolved in a timely fashionAbility to promote and foster a Continuous Improvement culture across a large associate teamAbility to maintain an even demeanor in the face of adversity and exemplify strong, confident and fair leadershipWorking knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing Concepts and the benefits of cellular manufacturingWorking knowledge OSHA Safety RegulationsAbility to gather data and facts around operational issues and formulate and execute an action plan to systematically eliminate these issuesAbility to manage multiple areas and tasks while being complete and thorough in all interactionsSupport weekend supervision coverageThis position is subject to policies and procedures set forth by the State Department and applicants who do not meet such requirements will not be eligible for the position .
