System One is currently seeking Production Supervisors for a direct hire opportunity in Raymond, MS. Summary:
Supervisors will be responsible to the Superintendent for meeting aggressive production requirements while maintaining high expectations in Safety, Quality, and Productivity. Responsibilities: Direct hourly workforce to meet company/departmental objectives Provide training and cross-training for all employees to ensure a versatile workforce. Effectively communicate with peers, subordinates, and management Complete all routine paperwork, reports, and schedules in accordance with company/departmental objectives Contribute and make recommendations to control and reduce departmental and overall costs Lead 6s and Continuous Improvement initiatives Provide appropriate follow-up (direction, revision, review, approval and control) for all policies and procedures, including SOP's, TOP's and forms.) Maintain good manufacturing practices. Ensure the maintenance of shift selecting records including job histories, downtime records, process information and other records. Generate, direct and coordinate all safety policies and procedures. Ensure that proper housekeeping is maintained and that the plant is clean, floor spaces are clean and items are kept in order. Supervision and development of employees involved in the manufacturing process, ensuring job competency, employee development, training plans and performance appraisals. Drive the proper usage of statistical process control, process data collection and analysis. Qualifications: 3+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment Associates Degree required, Bachelor Degree in Business Management/Administration preferred Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Proficient computer skills Strong planning and organizational skills Analytical and decision making abilities Effective written and verbal communication skills Superb people skills at both hourly and staff levels Conflict resolution skills Ability to work accurately with numbers. Attention to detail is a must AS400 experience is a plus Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.) #LI-AB1
